The view from the ramparts of Notre Dame. This is from the upper floor accessible via a narrow spiral staircase with over 259 steps. Here you can see much of the statuary and the rear steeple.	In the square in front of Notre Dame, you can hold bread out over this area nad the birds will fly and land on your arm and eat the bread from your fingers. The Hotel Dieu (Hospital) is in the background. Beneath the square in front of Notre Dame Cathedral is the Crypte Archeologie where you can view the original Roman walls and foundations from churches that appeared on this spot prior to the current cathedral.
